Inspired by the European countryside, this 1,550sf new home balances clean, modern architecture with subtle farmhouse influences to create a warm and inviting aesthetic.
Designed for a homeowner with environmental sensitivities, every decision was guided by a singular goal: creating a sanctuary where health, performance, and beauty are seamlessly integrated.
Keeping the home modest in size allowed the project to prioritize investment in thoughtful details and high-performance construction. Wall and roof assemblies featuring rainscreens and continuous exterior insulation, enhanced air sealing, and a high-performance HVAC system were incorperated to improve resilience, comfort, and indoor air quality. Concrete floors, low-emitting materials, and integrated RF shielding from a nearby cell tower further support the healthy indoor environment.
